I get asked this question a lot by clients of mine, so this is just a quick post on how to setup your Outlook to use Hostgator’s email that is included with their hosting packages. (Linux hosting only)
- Open Outlook
- Go to Tools on the main menu
- Then click Account Settings
- Pick the account you want to change or create a new account.

When this is set up, click the “More Settings” button
Then click the “Outgoing Server” tab.
NOTE: Make sure the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.” box is checked.
Then click the “Advanced” tab.
You should be good to go!
