Have you ever wondered how to get rid of that pesky little YouTube logo on the videos embedded in your web sites? Well, wonder no more! I have found the solution! Well, actually I just followed the YouTube code instructions, worked at it for a hour and a half and got it figured out! Now all you need to do is watch, learn and do!

This task is very straight forward. However, you need to pay very close attention on where this YouTube short code is placed in your embed code in order for it work. Place one letter in the wrong spot and BOOM! YouTube is down!!

This is the code you will need: ?modestbranding=1

Now, this is the embed code straight from YouTube:

And here is the embed code after the short code is placed in it:

Notice the short code is place directly after the video id. Anywhere else in the embed code and your video will not display on your post or page. CRASH!!!!

Online video rules. Plain and simple. But how do I get my academy award winning YouTube video on my WordPress blog so I can show of my acting skills? Like most anything you can accomplish online, just knowing a couple of cool tricks can take you a long way!

So, in this YouTube video tutorial, I demonstrate how to take a video from YouTube and put it into your WordPress blog. Now, this will work the same on a standard HTML website, but we are focused on WordPress in this lesson. Give it try! Please leave me a comment to tell me how it went! Rock on!

Now how many times have you said to yourself “Self, how did that guy or gal get so many YouTube views on that video??” I know, I know. Talking to yourself in public can get you some rather interesting looks, but it is a question that comes up almost daily for us. And in order to compete in any fashion on YouTube, you need to know all the rules. So here is YouTube Golden Rule One:

Make your featured video on your YouTube Channel set to “Autoplay”.

This is one of the simplest, but least known tricks by YouTube rookies. It can make a world of difference when trying to get ranked in YouTube.

Side Bar: YouTube’s ranking algorithms are as tricky to understand as Google search algorithms. So what do ya do?? Well, there are a few basics that you should always follow. To help get ranked, you need four things:a great video title, a great description, great tags and last but not least, video views. Lots and lots of video views. Let’s face it, you could have a great video, but unless it’s some super crazy video that will go viral, you need views to get found.

So, back to Golden rule one. By tuning this feature on in your YouTube channel, you could increase your views by 10 fold! No kidding. Our numbers went above 50 times! Amazing how much difference a small change like that can make.

To do this, simply log into your YouTube channel, click your account link in the upper right hand corner of the page, then select “My Channel”. Once you are on your Channel page, you will see a button titled “Videos and Playlists”. At the very bottom of that pod, you will see a check box titled “Autoplay featured video”. Check this and you are all set!

Golden Rule Two:

Auto start your YouTube video on your blogs and websites.

This rule is a bit, how shall we say, tricky, than the last technique as this one requires a little bit of alteration to the YouTube embed code. Now before you freak-out on me and think “code, I don’t know no stinking code…” I will tell you now its nothing. No big deal. Calm down! Breath….

Again, it’s relatively straight forward.

First, grab the embed code of the video you want to put on your WordPress blog, or any site for that matter. It should like this:

(feel free to embed any of thewebtrainer’s videos on to your site)

Now, here is the code part…

Place this bid of code: &autoplay=1 into two places of the embed code:

Then copy this modified embed code and paste it into the HTML tab of the WordPress post you want the video to be viewed on. Save and watch the magic happen.

These two simple rules will help you on your way to YouTube stardom, or maybe just great rankings…or whatever. I’ll go now…

If you would like to create an RSS feed for your YouTube channel into an RSS feed, its pretty striaght forward.  just take the following URL:

http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/yourchannelname/uploads

and replace the”yourchannelname” with your YouTube channel name and you are all set!
